Growing method and how it works?
The WALLY32 uses the SWC (Shallow Water Culture) method, an efficient and reliable hydroponic technique. In this system, water from the reservoir is pumped into the top channel, filling it to a shallow level of approximately 1.18 inches (three centimeters). Once this level is reached, the water drains sequentially into the lower channels, ultimately returning to the reservoir. This creates a continuous cycle of nutrient-rich water flowing through the system.
Plants are placed in net cups within the planting holes on the channel covers. Their roots grow into the channels, accessing water, nutrients, and oxygen directly, while the foliage, fruits, and leaves grow in the external environment.
The nutrient solution, prepared by diluting hydroponic fertilizers in the reservoir, circulates twenty-four/seven. The system can also run on a timer, allowing growers flexibility to pause operation at night or when using solar panels during daylight hours. Unlike the NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) method, where water drains entirely back to the reservoir when the pump stops, the SWC system retains a water level in the channels. This feature provides a safety net during power outages or pump failures, ensuring plants do not dry out and remain healthy.
The SWC method offers a reliable and straightforward solution for growing plants hydroponically, delivering all essential nutrients, water, and oxygen directly to the roots while maintaining a consistent environment for optimal growth.
